Low-Volume Systems
|
Elite Engineering combines the industry's most advanced reflow technology
with the industry's most comprehensive design, resulting in a full range of
systems to meet virtually any production requirement. No other manufacturer
offers this many features as standard equipment on any comparably priced
system:
Available options include:
 |
Programmable, Low-Mass, "SMART RAIL" Edge Pin
Conveyor and Belt Interface |
 |
Inert Gas Blanketing
Option |
When it comes to reflow soldering, there is only one thing that separates
the needs of the high-volume manufacturer from that of the low-volume
manufacturer. Not process control...not reliability...not even PCB size
capacity...but simply...throughput. Elite has made the reflow selection
process just about as simple as you can make it, by offering four different
systems that differ from one another only by their heated length and physical
size (therefore their throughput capacity). All other features, including
conveyor width, are identical. The greater the heated length, the faster the
beltspeed that can be utilized to maintain an identical thermal profile as that
of a comparable system with a shorter heated length.

Fully
Adjustable Axial Lead Former Provides Clip-In and Stand-Off Forms With the Same
Set of Tooling
Form axial components to
almost any configuration with Elite Engineering's Format 2000
bench top lead forming system. Clip-ins, stand-offs, verticals, and 90° bends
are all easily achieved at speeds of up to 20,000 pph.
The Format 2000 is
easily adjusted to satisfy an almost limitless variety of axial forming
applications. Lead spacing, lead diameter, leg length, body size, stand-off
height, and form depth adjustments are each independent of the other, allowing
uneven cut lengths, form centres, or vertical axial forms, if desired.
Lead diameters from 0.40 to 1.50mm
(0.016" to 0.060") can be cut and formed to Mil-Spec standards. Since each lead
is clamped before cutting and forming, damage or component stress is eliminated.
Components are fed into an adjustable
conveyor where they are cut and formed in the various stages. The finished
component exits the conveyor and is deposited in a specially designed component
drawer. Scrap tape or excess lead material is separated from the finished
components.
The standard tooling supplied with the
Format 2000 accommodates all cut-only forms, horizontal 90°
bends, clip-in and stand-off forms. To switch from clip-in to stand-off,
operators need only reverse two standard dimpling inserts. Vertical form or
flush-mount clip-in tooling are the only tooling options you may ever
need. |

MK Series Tools Provide Pneumatic Cut, Bend or
Swage The Elite MK Series
pneumatic hand tools cover a number of options: cut and bend, cut and swage, or
cut only. All are designed for post component assembly prior to soldering.
These tools are lightweight and offer ergonomic design preventing operator
fatigue. Unlike side cutters, the off-cuts from these tools drop to the PCB,
eliminating flying lead waste. The MK-3 tools feature
exclusive trigger activated, scissor-type blades, manufactured of 60C Rockwell
hardened tool steel, and won't scrape leads or mark circuit boards. MK-3 tools
provide cut and bend (or cut only) of component leads in a single stroke; the
tapered head giving access to even the most densely populated underboard areas.
MK-6 tools feature exclusive trigger activated, V-type blades,
swage the lead to typically twice the wire diameter (ensuring component
retention) or cut leads flush to the PCB after soldering. All tools are
ergonomically designed, thus eliminating operator fatigue, and also helping to
prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. |
